Get off to a great start with ‘How to Succeed in the Global Workplace’

We have developed a free online course for people preparing to enter the job market and those in the early stages of their career. It is part of what the British Council does to support the skills and employability of young people.

The online training will equip you with the skills and techniques to communicate confidently, build relationships and make that all-important good first impression at work.

Perfect for students and graduates, it is also suitable for people returning to work after a career break or those who simply want to enhance their CV with skills for today’s global workplace.

Jointly developed by the British Council and the University of Sheffield, the course focuses on the essential skills employers worldwide require from new employees, including working across cultures, adapting to new environments, effective team-building, and creating rapport with colleagues and clients from different backgrounds.

The course starts on 20 November. It has three hours of online learning per week, over four weeks. Registration is now open for people worldwide.
