In partnership with Social Enterprise United Kingdom (SEUK) and Vantage consultancy, a social enterprise policy analysis in Ethiopia was conducted in the recent weeks. The research focused on analysing the Social Enterprise (SE) policy landscape and the existing gap in order to pave the way for an enabling environment that facilitates the growth of the SE sector.
In order to present the findings and share global experiences including the UK, a policy analysis validation workshop was conducted in Bishoftu city from 18-19 March 2019.
The meeting was fittingly held in the Jerusalem Children and Community Development Organisation (JeCCDO), an NGO and a SE whose unique operating model has been lauded by many. As can be expected, the meeting was full of lively debates and discussions. All parties present provided priceless feedback that will further enrich the impressive work that has been done by the researchers and the British Council.
